Kate has such a remarkable way with words and, in a few brief sentences, can set an indelible scene rooted in nature, quiet, and mysticism. I always look forward to receiving Selkie Grove and I think you will, too.
An inspiring mix of personal reflections, fiction, and ethereal photography, Kerani's work is always a delight when it shows up in my inbox. Take a look at the magical world she's creating here.
Hal is a wonderful person, talented musician, and someone who battles ME/CFS, a condition that leaves him exhausted much of the time. The wonderful notes he sends are stories of his life, his music, and his ongoing efforts to find joy and meaning in his everyday life.
Jump into the incredible world(s) that Elle is building here in The Novelleist! Compelling fiction, wonderful behind-the-scenes insights, and a growing community of readers and writers. Already one novel down (Obscurity), and she's now serializing her second (Oblivion)!
One of my favorite newsletters, SS is a weekly that is loaded with incredible music recommendations. I have discovered so much new music because of this newsletter. The amount of work that goes into each issue is incredible — keep up with new releases, learn about new artists, or dive deep into a specific genre. It's all there!
Subtle Maneuvers is one of the first newsletters I subscribed to on Substack, and it is absolutely one of my favorites. Mason Currey goes deep into the creative processes of writers and other creatives, a topic that I find endlessly fascinating and super inspiring. These essays are engaging, well-researched, and beautifully written. I can't recommend SM enough.
